this week has been full of 2 things:
1.) staring indian boys
2.) giant butterflies

explanation for pt.1: i was sitting at my desk, when i felt as though someone were watching me. i look over, and even though my curtains are FULLY SHUT, there's this face pressed agains the glass of my window, peeking into my room at me while i'm on the computer. i literally punched the glass, and ran outside, and confronted the kid who works in the kitchen here, who was coming inside at the same time. i said
"were you staring in my room?"
no.
"were you outside?"
yes.
"did you see who was looking in my room?"
no.
"so, you were outside, but you didn't look into my room, and you didn't see who looked in my room....you are a liar"

it was so uncomfortable. and it's not the first time it's happened here either. girls have been on walks and had men expose themselves to them. some have been heavily groped in public. some have been slapped on the ass in a drive-by slap-session. and we've all been stared at heavily.

that's one thing i won't miss about being here.

explanation for pt.2: there have always been butterflies and moths here, and i like to think i've gotten better around them, but they've all been of pretty normal size. yet, i don't know if it's the weather or what, for some reason, these super-butterflies have started showing up EVERYWHERE. they're gross. they're brown. they have the fake eye-spots on the tips of their wings. with open wings, i'd say it was a good 5" wingspan. and i swear to god that they sense that i don't like them. they tend to congregate outside my door, or chase me through the guest house. like, literally chase, to the extent that others notice and think it's weird that they only tend to go near me. blech.
